Every year, Same As U hosts our Golf Fundraiser, an event that fuels everything we do. It’s more than a day on the greens—it’s a day that brings our community together to support a cause that matters deeply to our students, families, and staff.

Your participation helps fund vital programs for adults with disabilities, everything from educational programs to life skills. Our program gives participants a space to learn, grow, belong, and thrive. This golf event is our only fundraiser of the year, so your support has a direct and lasting impact. As ongoing supporter Andrew Skaggs of Skaggs Insurance states, “Same As U truly makes a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, and I love that I get to be a small part of their success every year.”

It’s a chance to connect with your community as well as Same As U students, families and staff. It is a great day to connect to learn more about what Same As U has been up to and celebrate the accomplishments of the people they support. All of us at OPG enjoy this event!”

  • New This Year: Helicopter Ball Drop!

We’re adding some high-flying fun to this year’s event with our first-ever Helicopter Ball Drop! Here’s how it works: you purchase a numbered golf ball (or several!), and at a designated time, a helicopter will drop all the balls over a target on the course. The 3 balls that land closest to the target win $$$–up to $2500 for first place! It’s a fun and thrilling way to support the cause, even if you don’t golf.   • Delicious Food (and a Good Cause!)

We’re not saying the food is the only reason to attend, but it certainly helps! Your golf registration includes lunch, sliders from the Nesst, BBQ dinner and drinks. When our student Mary was asked why she likes the golf outing, she immediately answered, “I like the food. And I like to golf. And we need the money.”

  • It’s A Day of Celebration and You’ll Walk Away Inspired

Whether you’re a scratch golfer or haven’t touched a club in years, you’re welcome here. In this relaxed atmosphere, this event is about enjoyment, not pressure. Bring a team or come solo—we’ll pair you up.
